Yeah, I just thought about this today. It's pretty fucked up. I guess the implication is that Nebby was aware and maybe even sympathized with Necrozma's plight after fusing with it but it's still pretty awesome that you just use a machine to fuse them rather than having them do it consensually.

At least with Kyurem's forms there was the implication that since they were all one being at one point they'd be happy to fuse back together in order to get that much closer to being complete, but Necrozma's forms are only beneficial to Necrozma, unless Nebby is a pragmatist who enjoys being powerful as fuck as Ultra Necrozma.

this is what i was thinking. i think what happened was after nebby was cared for at aether it and lillie somehow came to an agreement that this is the right thing to do. it ties into what hapu said about how people and pokemon have to help each other out or something.

the whole thing is still fucked up but telling myself nebby personally agreed to this makes me feel a little better about it.
