It was nice, it made sense since Unova was based on a place with a temperate climate. Not something I'd want to see everywhere.

I enjoyed the seasonal changes and pokemon encounter differences. They should've been weekly instead of monthly though

It was nice. Added visual variety and kept the games looking interesting. Music changes were nice too. Game Freak went all out musically in Gen 5 with the interactivity.

It was a good idea, but the problem is I played during in-game fall and winter so now when I think of Unova I picture a bland, dull landscape.

I loved the season mechanics. It made the game feel more dynamic. I just wish there were more Pokemon that changed depending on the season rather than just Deerling and Sawsbuck.

It's something that should have stayed as a standard, not a one generation feature. It made things prettier, more interesting, and gave you a reason to keep coming back to the game every month. I liked it so much I wouldn't mind if they did it every 3 months like Animal Crossing, but that's probably too much for the purpose of catching pokemon.

I understand why it would be missing from Alola, but Kalos and the ORAS remakes should have had it (yes, it snows in northtern Kyushu during winter).

They should add an option to have an in-game clock like harvest moon so they could add more variety to the seasonal and day/night changes

Friend and i did a B/W reset tournament... a lot of our builds got fucked cause Substitute was locked behind a certain season that our race was ending before, but i guess that's our own fault

They should've kept it. Kalos would've been way cooler with seasons. Since they decided to discontinue it getting winter, summer, and falls forms of sawsbuck and deerling requires a copy of BW or B2W2.

Even tho I loved that feature so much, I agree. It would be better if they locked events and side quests instead, even legendary events. It's been ages since we had actual legendary events. Last one was Meloetta in the coffee shop right?

Awful. If you complete a playthrough in a single month then every route ends up looking exactly the same, which causes the region to feel bland and forgettable. I don't want to have to wait 30/60/90 irl days to see distinct, interesting routes.

I liked XY's style where the weather was sorta implied to change throughout the story due to how the routes are laid out. It brought a lot less time changing for special events, which no one likes

Kind of stupid really. You would finish the game all in one season or on the border of two.

And then it would be a gimmick you need to wait for to access certain post-game things.
