Hopefully this board is deleted.
Pokemon has hit rock bottom and the core fanbase is just leaving in all fronts, delusional shills like Joe only hasten this effect. It's time for Pokemon generals again, there are bigger (in terms of adult fans) and much better franchises who do just fine without a cesspool of a board like this.

This happens with every odd-numbered gen.

It happened with Gen 3, it happened with Gen 5, and now it's happening again with Gen 7.

Kimishima's pushing really hard for Pokemon Switch to release in 2018.
He knows goddamn well that there's no Universally Popular Franchises outside of Mario, Zelda, Smash Bros and Pokemon to print Holiday Sales in '18, and the former two already blew their loads this year.
2018 has nothing in line except for Pokemon, and Smash is still too early to happen yet.

It's a real steep decline this time. Communities for Pokemon were amazingly active back in gen 5.
No one even plays Pokemon here, trading or battling threads die in mere hours despite a new game having come out 10 days ago, it's all the same tired genwar garbage all day with the same people posting.

I think this is simply because the people who helped the communities thrive back then were younger and more passionate about Pokemon.
Now that those people are older they have other priorities and spend less time doing anything Pokemon related.
