Sup /p/ figured you’d want some early knowledge about Gen 8 because you’re all impatient assholes.

Basic info:
* The new region is supposed to be more continental than coastal. More like Unova, less like Hoenn.
* It is one game, not two.
* There will be a grand total of 126 new Pokémon
* 121 are non legendary
* 2 are the Articuno/Latios/Uxie type Pokémon of the game.
* 2 are legendary.
* 1 is mythic.
* Some old Pokémon are getting new/branching evolutions.
* Exactly 24 of the Pokémon are new/alternate evolutions
* No new Mega Evolutions.
* Z-moves are back.
* The theme of the game is going to be about the bonds people make with each other and their Pokémon.
* Gyms return, but have a major twist this time around.
* Contests are back.
* New RPQ quest system and log.
* Not exactly open world, but you will be able to pick where you go by purchasing one Ride Pokémon at a time from the hub city.
* Depending on the path you take, levels and evolutions will vary.
* Bottom screen functionality is gone so pause menus bring you to a new screen.
* Battle menu is like Pokémon Battle Revolution.
* One save file, as per usual.
* Pokémon Refresh is coming back, using motion controls to interact with your team.
* Girlfriend mode being implemented – allows you to have a permanent double battle partner.
* If girlfriend mode isn’t on, you can choose to have a Pokémon follow you.
* Full trainer customization in - face, body type, clothes.
* Trainer is in their mid teens
