I don't understand the complaints with Festival Plaza. I've been having a lot of fun with it and enjoy it way more than the other new features.

I don’t like to hate on Gen 7 just for the sake of it, and I give it credit where it’s due. But Festival Plaza sucks. It’s like a less useful version of Join Avenue crossed with a much more inconvenient version of PSS. It took two past features (one of which is pretty central to the gameplay experience) and made them both worse.

In SM it was a worthless feature because there was no good way to get coins. In USUM, it's useful as hell if you use the Battle Agency.

Levelling up shops is both grindy as shit and complete RNG, no space for all of them, levelling up the plaza itself is also really slow especially since it doesn't let you gain multiple levels at once, getting coins was too hard in SM and too easy in USUM, characters waiting around are slow to load and only sometimes have a request
and the default music and theme is fucking shit
