>>34322299I don't recall seeing much implying that she had exposure to Nihilego toxins before le epic jellyfish battle in Ultra Space. Could you give me some quotes?
Until then, let's assume that what you're saying is true. It still boils down to "gotta catch 'em all" as a motivation. In USUM, it's "I have to save Alola, and considering what exactly is being involved, I am the one who has to do it". It is illogical, but in a way that makes sense, considering her overprotective nature, her obsessiveness, her stake in anything involving Ultra Space, and - most importantly - her belief that she is always right. It is illogical, but there is reason to it. Furthermore, it's obvious that she desperately tried to do what she viewed as best for her children, but her poor handling of it led to them leaving, and her feeling betrayed - though unlike SM, there is not a total rejection, because she isn't a cackling nutjob.
>the story in USUM is a fucking half assed mess that tries to cobble together the new stuff they wanted to shill with the old stuffThen why the focus shift to Gladion in matters involving Lusamine, despite being not new at all? Even ignoring that, I feel that you're missing a good deal of shit.
>It's odd that you say thisUSUM Lusamine is illogical, not crazy. There is a difference, and that actually matters in this particular circumstance, as described above.
