We get to see Buzzwole in its native habitat, which is fittingly enough a jungle, and we also got to see Kartana in its native habitat, which is fittingly enough a forest.

What kind of native habitat would be suited for Guzzlord?

It's really hard to imagine Guzzlords being a naturally occuring phenomenon, even by pokémon standards. Ther appetite make Snorlax look like it eats like an anorexic model, and they do not eject dropping. Everything swallowed by them is just kinda removed from the universe, like black holes. They also apparently feel like hard rubber to the touch which is a weir, unnatural texture for a natural organism

This never happens? Guzzlord in their own world were common and people didn't particularly fear them. It's implied that the power plant is the reason why the world was destroyed. If you talked to the man in the suit after capturing Guzzlord you would know.

If you get mew and upgrade it in a reasonable way with SCIENCE you get Mewtwo. If you corrupt it and throw shit at it to see what sticks you eventually get Guzzlord. Specially interesting theory seeing as both ditto-muk-grimer don't have a defined form at all.

it is a mere coincidence because shiny pokemon weren't amnually painted until Gen 6 and it was done with an algorimth that simply changed the color depending on the current color, and shinnies weren't a thing until Gen 2.

Well that's more garbodor territory, I'm thinking about industrial toxic waste which only the nastiest microorganisms can survive, like amoeba which are the microorganisms with the most extensive dna on the planet, maybe only viruses mutate more (deoxys?). Guzzlord= feeds on matter
Xurkitree=feeds on eletricity
Necrozma=feeds on light, is to lunala (sunlight) and solgaleo (moonlight) what the mushrooms are to Parasect (bug super effective to grass, parasect is bug-grass, necrozma is dark which is supper effective against psychic).
