Really, Midday should be Normal/Rock, Midnight should be Dark/Rock, and then Dusk form should be Fire/Rock.

Why didn't this happen? Any dual typing is infinitely more interesting than pure Rock 4 times in a row.

Swords of Justice say there's no rule against quadrupeds being fighting type. Plus special snowflake doggo gets type advantage, which is something GF would do.

you can spam the midnight fighting meme all you want (just get a tripcode at this point), dark fits much better. GF rarely cares what'd work best in comp, they care about flavor.
