This desu. If Pokémon weren’t a yearly franchise, it would slightly help the quality of the games immensely. Shame that for Gamefreak these days, it’s all about the money than a polished product.

The length of development cycle doesn't matter as much as the director and the developers involved, XY was in development for quite and still turned out lackluster.

Eh, if not that at least the fatigue with the franchise won't be so bad if they skip a year. We could use some good spinoffs in the meantime, like PMD.

Normally I'd pick the later date, but bad directing will fuck up a game no matter how long the development period is. And considering Masuda and Ohmori are all about competing against mobile gaming, putting story first and handholding, I doubt the Switch games will be good no matter how long they take to work on it.
