Who the fuck thought this was a good idea?

Been fishing for a feebas for hours now, I just want to complete the dex without spending hours hunting for one mon.

Just make the lowest 5% at least.

No, catching Feebas before was painful, the fact that they improved it to a simple 1% makes me hope they'll improve further with 5% minimum as well, but complaining about the one pokemon who's catching process was improved so drastically is annoying

As a kid with no Internet finding this out drove me fucking mad. I spent months just fishing in the same spot the pokedex told me to trying to catch that fucktard.

Clock-based events stopped working too because I burned out my battery because my GBA kept dying out because I was a poorfag who used batteries until they were 100% dead, freeze 'em, AAA batteries with foil, stole batteries from remotes, etc

Are you stupid? Fish in the bubbling water. It's a 5% chance in SM and a 10% chance in USUM. Just run in and out the first screen or soft reset, it'll be faster than fishing in regular water for the 1% chance.

The one thing GameFreak does properly is give older Pokémon easier encounter conditions than they used to have, nobody wants to headbutt trees for the damn Heracross in every generation. Not only the power creep obsoletes what once were strong monsters and makes it not worth it to go through the same troubles we did for them when they were good, the sheer number of them is daunting enough as it is now. The hardest encounter conditions should be only for the newest Pokémon of a given generation.

It's higher in bubbling spots. Kangaskhan is about the only 1% encounter, though it might be more common if summoned by Cubone.

bw/2 did it best, rare encounter normally but common on the rare spots
oras made it too easy with the guaranteed spots
