Nah but ohmori was still working on oras in 2014. So it's still development of 2 years for sun and moon.

Last ohmori directed game was 2016. 2019 would be 3 years

Agreed was doing research about when event Pokemon are released. If Zenora isn't announced in December. Than no direct until February. If it isn't announced in january than no gen 8 this year

Volcanion was announced in 2016 December corocoro. Than magearna in February

There not announcing gen 8 until Zenora announced. That's not even a pattern just common sense

Zeraora will most likely be revealed in December. Pokeshopper had tweeted that a figure was planned for a then-unknown gen 7 pokemon. Zeraora is the only new gen 7 pokemon that has not yet been revealed.

That's maybe a bit early. When was Magearna revealed? February? It depends when they want to reveal the new movie info and they might be keeping Zeraora's role in that movie as a surprise until later, like they did with Volcanion, I think?

There are usually two protagonists per movie.

If they reveal Zeraora in December then the main protagonist (probably a Gen 8 Pokemon) will be revealed in February

Usually when we have a pokemon direct we have a nintendo direct close after it. So this means we could have a pokemon direct for gen 8 as early as this december

That's because half the development team abandoned the SM project for the Switch before SM could even be completed.
