How do you use Necrozma's Z move?
I have dusk mane Necrozma it's holding ultranecrozium Z and it knows photon geyser but when it ultra bursts it doesn't give me the option to use a z move.

The option pops up after it transforms. Ultra Burst first then you can use the Z move.

real talk though, for all intents and purposes this is a mega evolution right? You give a pokemon a held item that gives you the ability to select a prompt and a move in the same turn that changes your form stats and typing?

Ultra Burst is when you have a Z-Crystal and a Mega Stone rolled into one.

Functionally it's the same but Ultra Burst is exclusive to Necrozma.
