I like it a lot, actually. Was one of the highlights of the soundtrack-- the gym leader theme in particular was lackluster. There was too much electronic shit going on and not enough of a memorable melody.

I used to hate the Gym Leader theme a lot but now that I've listened to it with a pair of headphones I like a little bit more. The Legendary themes for Xerneas/Yveltal/Zygarde are something I could never get into on the other hand.

I listened to the symphonic version of the gym leader theme (there are videos of the symphonic evolution concert on youtube), and it reminded me a lot of the RYB trainer battle theme, just slower. It's not just me, right?

Starts off kinda nice, gets into the techno bit, gets the bass started ANDDDDD they fucking ruin the suspense with a way out of place guitar and shitty musical pace.
