Yeah I did - replayed PBR a few months back. Animations aren't shit compared to what we have nowadays.

But let's be real here. You'll complain about Typhlosion in gen 6/7 while praising it in gens 2-4 because that's just the kind of person you are.

Literally only Sableye and Honchkrow have funny/interesting animations, and those two are always posted as the only examples. Everything else is on par with or worse than the current animations.

Hopefully the Switch mainline game will look as good as Stadium/Colosseum/GoD/BR.
I'm always tempted to get PBR just because it looks nice, despite the gameplay however bad it may be.

Yes you're right so does the original stadium where the Pokemon animations did had more personality to them but if you had those on a mainline game it would make battles too long and they're already really slow

PBR serves as excellent post game material for Diamond and Pearl. It is a shame about the lack of rentals. but you can't deny that certain things that were outsourced are superior to what we have on the 3DS. Superior trainer customization. Superior animations for certain Pokémon. Superior battle modes that aren't just battle tower knock offs. The biggest fault this game has is not having a way to play it without the companion games.
