So let me get this straight. Alolan Pokemon are different from everywhere else because of evolution (the real-life kind) whereas you can find regular exactly the same pokemon on planets literally thousands of light years away?

And you can also fly to pokepelago on charizard while on said distant planets.

Those probably aren't different planets, if you look at the UB worlds, they're probably alternate Earths.

Point one: These aren't different planets, are still PokeEarth but in a different timeline.

Point two: Pokepelago is just a mechanical feature, the character leaving every place to visit it isn't "canon". Do you think you can fly to Pokepelago on the Pokemon League too?

Point three: Alolan forms are caused by "the special energy on Alola's ecosystem" so these changes only happened because they live in an environment full of Z Power, these pokemon living in a-non suitable environment in other regions would mean they just die. Darwinian evolution is still a think in Pokémon, though, but Alolan forms are more special than that.

The fucking game. Alolan forms being a thing caused by "Alola special environment" was promoted for SM already (well isn't like they mentioned Alolan forms in USUM promo at all) and USUM reveals that what makes Alola so special is that it was gifted by Necrozma's light (Z power) thanks to how often ultrawormholes appear in the region, allowing its light to sneak into Alola.
Berries growning without effort, special forms for some species from other regions, some more powerful and bigger pokemon with auras that only lives in ecosystems full charged of Z power (according to the URS) and basically cristalizations of Z power in the region, all that is caused by Necrozma's light

Who's to say there's not an alternate version of the Pokemon world where Z-Crystals and regional variants are the norm across every region? With how popular some of the Alola Forms became and GF's own satisfaction with the Z-Crystals, they're not likely to just drop them next gen.
