Generally, an offensive Pokemon is either a physical attacker, or a special attacker. (With some exceptions; Salamence and Lucario comes to mind) This is to get the most out of your Mon. A Pokemon can be a glass cannon, but if it does not hit hard and dies anyway (because you dont know what EV spreads are) what is the point?
An example;
Gumshoos @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Protect
- Facade
- Crunch
- Earthquake
While not a good Pokemon to use competitively, this is a workable set. I would rather ignore its poor defenses and work those EVs in Attack, for damage, and health, for longevity.
A set like this for example is bad:
Kabutops
Modest nature
EV spread: 156/0/0/148/104/100
-Surf
-Aqua Tail
-Stone Edge
-X-Scissor
Why is it bad? 1) Modest nature with 3 Attacking moves. 2) Not investing EVs correctly. 3) Moves overlap each other. You are better off changing the nature to Adamant
>Well, I don't use Smogonfags' EV spreads.I feel you do not know what people are talking about when they say 'I don't use Smogon retarded sets'. Here is a snippet for you.
Dragonite
EVs: 252 HP 116 Def 140 Spe
Set Details: "The specified HP and Defense EVs allow Dragonite to survive the combination of a Fake Out and an Ice Punch from Mega Lopunny, which would otherwise outspeed and KO it after a Dragon Dance. The remaining EVs are placed into Speed, which allows Dragonite to outspeed Tornadus-T after a Dragon Dance when used in tandem with a Jolly nature."
This is what a retarded Smogonfag moveset looks like. It is fine to be bad at Pokemon. It isnt fine to be bad AND also calling people bait, and insulting them for pointing out the obvious.
