Alolan Persian exists as a utility mon, fulfilling specific purposes to assist the rest of your team. It has a really high base 115 speed, almost ensuring it moves first, especially in lower tiers. It also has Fur Coat, which gives it some better physical bulk than it otherwise would have.
It gets Parting Shot to weaken an opponent's offensive stats and then switch out into a better matchup. It gets Z-Parting Shot to also recover the switched-in Pokemon's health during the mid-game. It gets Foul Play to use the opponent's own physical attack stat against them. With Knock Off, it gets rid of the opponent's items. Taunt allows it to disable an opponent's status moves. And Toxic allows it to cripple Fighting- and Fairy-types it would otherwise have no chance against.
Yes, Alolan Persian is a nichemon, butt at least it has some usage over Persian.
