I'm about to catch Solgaleo and Necrozma, and want to use my Master Ball and a Beast Ball on them, but which should I use in which?
Also, is Necrozma confirmed to be an Ultra Beast? I mean, it has an ULTRA form now...?

Necrozma has a catch rate of 255 in USUM so I wouldn't use master ball on that.

Necrozma is considered a regular pokemon when it comes to beast ball catch rates, but still easy enough to capture.

I used Beast Ball on both (thank you, Rotom Catch) and now it pisses me off that Naganadel is Poke Ball only.

As for official UB status, Ultra Recon Squad says Necrozma is "similar to an Ultra Beast" while the TCG flatout calls Dusk Mane and Dawn Wings Ultra Beasts. Your call. I'd say Beast Ball looks aesthetically better for Necrozma because of its weirder, more alien design, but Necrozma is also like the "Mewtwo" of this gen (end of the Dex, Psychic, highest base stat total) and as we all know, Mewtwo belongs in a Master Ball.

The whole Cosmog family and Necrozma fusions belong in Beast Balls. Beast Balls are literally modeled after Cosmoem + Ultra Wormhole.

I caught them both in a pokeball with no rotom catch boosts on the first attempt. I think they can be caught instantly... or I just had some great luck.

Save your master ball for either Rayquaza or Mewtwo. Mewtwo has Recover and Rayquaza has rest.
