i don't want the switch games to be anything other than a visit back to kanto. expanded region, giovanni is back, you play as reds cousin or nephew or some shit and he helps you start your journey. johto post game, sevii island challenge like in alola, kantonian versions of later mons, new megas and new UBs.
thinking about it, could even tie the URS into it and start the game in another dimension, get given some UB starters (not grass/fire/water) and you only go back to kanto half way through the game or some shit.
honestly these games have so much fucking potential and it's mostly wasted with half implemented ideas and good ideas dropped the next game. they really do need to change the formula a bit and having a game on switch is the time to do it
