I’ve got to get something off my chest, so sit back, relax, grab a warm beverage, and get your head in gear. I’m not going to explain this twice for you special idiots. I can’t stand Gen 1. I actually cannot fucking stand it. Every time I see it mentioned I either twitch, clench my fist, or start sweating. It makes me furious when somebody praises it, because they don’t even know how wrong they are for enjoying it. First of all, Gen 1 is unplayable. There are so many fucking bugs you can’t even beat the game without prior knowledge of its faulty game design. Not only is every Gen after better in every way, but even most fan games are better than Gen 1, and that’s saying a lot. My next point, which is one I’m sure many of my peers will echo, is that Gen 1’s designs are garbage. Not only are they uncreative as fuck (I’m looking at you Muk, Voltorb, Seel, etc), but they’re so plain and ugly in comparison to some of the franchise’s greats that it’s just embarrasing to see a Kanto Pokemon. Whenever somebody says Gen 1 is their favorite Gen, I wish I could summon a moderator just so they could be banned. You never see a Genwunner who isn’t starting a Gen War. All they fucking want to do is threaten my favorite Gens with their “pokemania holy grail.” Gen 1 is fucking garbage and it makes my veins pulsate with rage when someone mentions it. Can we just make it a rule that Gen 1 discussion has to be kept on Leddit? Because literally the only people who like Gen 1 are fucking redditards. If not, at least make a containment thread for their weaponized autism to run free. I can’t stand seeing it any more. Gen 1 makes my blood boil. God I fucking hate it so much.
