Can't use PKHeX anymore

Ok guys I need help, I'd been successfully using Soundhax + JKSM + PKHeX during the year to edit my Moon save, but I had to update my New 3dsXL in order to even play Ultra Moon. Now nothing works, nobody has updated Soundax to work with the latest update.

Can I edit saves anymore? Or am I stuck?

Uh... Soundhax was killed back in April. Nintendo fixed the exploit. It wasn't updated because they can't update it. Just like you couldn't use youtube hax or browserhax after that too.

That's why people don't update, and instead have another 3ds or get cfw (since you can update that).I don't know why you didn't get CFW before updating since it literally takes less than 30 minutes (it took me HOURS the first time I did it). But, you're loss? I only did it so I have backup saves since I'm paranoid after losing digital saves before.

There's no free primary exploits right now, so you're going to need to shell out money.

Forgot to mention, I have an old 2DS that was never updated. Just a few mins ago I intsalled all the homebrew shit onto it, opened up JKSM with Moon in the console and it froze every time. Do I need to update that 2DS to a newer firmware? It can't even play Moon, I just wanted to extract the save onto the SD. Can it do that with old firmware or do I have to update to even allow JKSM to access Moon's save?

Don't update it or it'll be in the same situation your N3DS is in. Stop being stupid and put actual custom firmware on it so you don't need to worry about updates anymore. Guide here: https://3ds.guide/

Don't worry I won't update, I was just wondering if there was a legit way to get a less recent update that made the fuckin console sompatible with Moon. And that lots me export the save.

will CFW do that?

CFW lets you update to any firmware and keep your console hacked while doing so. Once it's installed you can just update to the latest firmware and then use JKSM again.

Once you have have CFW you can just update to the latest one and that will definitely work. There's no need to be on a lower firmware.
