>cyrusgame begins with a news report of a large, never before seen pokemon terrorizing a small town in a rural area before disappearing into thin air. after maybe the 4th gym (or equivalent) you travel to the town. the surrounding area is wrecked, and there's scientists/reporters everywhere. you meet a very angry and haggard looking cyrus in a nearby hotel, who appeared shortly after the event. tl;dr giratina has recently been getting aggressive for some reason, and kicked cyrus out of the distortion world. he could have a more benevolent role in the story, and try to calm giratina down, or maybe he wants to try again with the "world without spirit" thing
>ghetsishe's been laying low in the region for a while, has a new false identity and is being taken care of the shadow triad. he may have "adopted" more children, and one may be the champion
alternatively, the champion is a plasma devotee who's more than happy to be ghetsis's puppet
