Hey look some faggot that lives vicariously through Pokemon's fame as if it was your own. While Digimon isn't as popular they aren't sellouts. Cyber Sleuth came out in 2015 and had free DLC with new Digimon and sidestories, literally what Ultra did, and a side story game called Hacker's Memory comes out in a few days in Japan, next month Globally, with an Actual new story and none of the "This isn't the Alola you knew" BS spewed out, 70+ new Digimon added to the roster so it actually feels like a new game. Personally I think it's better that it's forgettable, at least they continue to try and not release empty games with a remake coming put the next year with content that should've been there in the first place, but hey, as long as it says Pokemon you'll scarf it down, yeah?

The only way for this to happen is if you like the Pokémon world rather than the Pokémon themselves, and are just taking it as permutational information rather than individual designs.

You can, and even if I did have to choose Id go with Digimon, even in interviews they've only made excuses for lacking in content because they think their audience are more interested in phones, while going by Digimon's there is passion in the words spoken, the need to give more love to obscure Digimon while Pokemon revels in Ashmons only to toss them after they're done with them.

True, but at the same time not really, I believe that other monster games are usually met with indifference than outright banishment, and the only those who care too much about being a "True Fan" would care so much, same for other topics like Genwars. And yeah, Hacker's Memory, an Alternate Story with an actual new story and not 80% the same game with new endgame & post game, bumping up the roster by 70 new Mons and new areas, basically how Ultra should've been in my eyes.
