Making them dependant on the opponent's attacks sorta ruins any offensive potential with Acrobatics+Unburden. Especially in pokemon with few moveset options.

It seems really pointless competitively.
Offensive pokemon usually carry a Life Orb or a Choice item, therefore hitting harder than their pre-evolution, on top of usually having higher base speed.
Besides Scyther, I can't think of anything that might take it.

They're BP items. They aren't for in-game. You've just created a Focus Sash that even Stall/Bulky mons can use in competetive. Landorus tanking a free hit the same way frail fucks like Smeargle do? Not a great idea.

But Dark Pulse wouldn't get any boost, unlike what it would get if Duck was holding Life Orb.

And Life Orb boost on a STAB move is only slightly smaller than Adaptable Plate because 1.3x1.5=1.95.

Pretty sure you can make a team immune to every type in the game with this. Pretty assbroken regardless.
