Ariados are very nice pokemon. They are misunderstood and don't want to cause humans any harm. Trainers should be nice to spinarak and help them grow up and become nice and strong Ariados! You shouldn't be afraid of Ariaods, we just want to be your friend!

Real talk I've alwaysbeen a fan of the line but I never fully appreciated it until my Sun playthrough. The Leech Life buff did wonders, along with other things but mostly Leech Life. Ariados in my mind is up there with the Bug Type greats like Scizor and Volcarona. 10/10, will train every time.

You could run SD, Leech Life, Poison Jab, and either Sucker Punch or Shadow Sneak if you want a full on offensive set. Its better however if you use Ariados as a setter of both Sticky Webs and Toxic Spikes. I've tried using a set with Toxic Thread, but it's just not that good unfortunately.

i just used ariados for the first time in my ultra moon playthrough. wound up really helping me in the early game with infestation on totems while all my pokemon were first stage shitmons until level 30. unfortunately fell off in usefulness later and sat at the back of the party collecting exp. now i have a spiderbro thats level 94 despite not using him since nanu maybe cyrus.

its cool though, i like spiders irl and spidermons, and finally got to use ariados instead of galvantula or araquanid

Adamant Liquidation doesn't OHKO, but it does push Ariados into Swarm range, where it can do ~80-94% with Megahorn before finishing the bubble off with Sucker Punch.

Unlikely, you're looking at it from the wrong angle. Even with all of that there's not much it would have over faster stronger bugs like Mega Pinsir or Scizor.

You want to make Ariados powerful? Toxic Thread now badly poisons, and give him Prankster on top of that. A utility set with the buffed Toxic Thread I mentioned, Sticky Webs, Toxic Spikes, and either Leech Life or Sucker Punch would be devastating.
