>>34387148Have you even tried the "hard" mode? It just raised the level of enemy pokemon and occasionally added another pokemon to a team, instead of giving enemy trainers non-retarded sets or AI. This, ironically enough, makes the game even easier as you get even more Exp and become even more overlevelled, especially with the free lucky egg you get halfway through the game. As if the in-game execution wasn't bad enough, the concept of the Key System was also flawed; you couldn't even unlock the "hard" mode until you had already beaten the game in the first place AND it was version exclusive.
The idea of adding a hard mode was a good in theory, but gamefreak absolutely butchered it every step of the way.
