Just found out my wife threw out my Y version with my 6iv shiny japanese ditto, and my shiny umbreon while i was looking for it to move them to UM through the bank...have you ever lost a game or any important pokemon /vp/?

I was working on a living dex on OR and lost the cart, had tons of mons from all throughout my pokemon history
also lost a shiny altaria in gen 5, caught it as a random encounter in emerald and got it all the way to 100. I remember transferring it to black but I couldn't find it

I have a wife and even though she doesn't give a fuck about vidya she still tries to support my hobby. So we'd go out on Pokemon Go dates where we'd hit different parts of town under the excuse of catching Pokemon. Which really is all you can ask out of someone who cares about you but not your hobby. I got back into Pokemon because I can only play games in small bursts now that I have responsibilities.

I am not proud to admit this, but when I was around 6, I deleted my older brother's Red save to avenge my barbie that he beheaded. He had just beat it and leveled his charizard up to 100.

I saved and quit my OR too quickly and wiped a file I’d spent 300-400 hours on (made a living dex, lot of shinies, lot of bros from past play throughs/nuzlockes). I’d transferred the living dex to pokebank thankfully.

Ironically this was 2 days before S/M came out, took it as a sign.

Anyways i have no idea where the hell my old raichu is, i remember training him to level 100 but he is just gone i wonder if he died in the dream world or the gen 4 or 5 gts ,

he is just gone, it's no big deal i guess the only pokemon that would make me sad to lose would be my infernape because he was the first one and he has a ton of ribbons

she didnt think id miss it because ive bought ORAS and sun and UM she thought it was just an old game now and i didnt need it any more

in her defense we had to throw out a lof of stuff because we had a flood and needed to make space in the house, and part of that was getting rid of a lot of old stuff we didnt need. Granted throwing out something that small doesnt make much room at all but it was just part of a purge of things.

Yeah, I had to pawn my 3DS and some games (DQ8, Smash, Pokemon X) to get some cash to mvoe into my new place. They sell it off after 3 months if you can't pay it back. I've pawned shit off before and got it back no issue so I just gave off my Pokemon X with my smogon-built living dex all legit (no perfect IVs though) and my shiny Metagross and Emboar, After the 3rd month my mom told me she lost the claim ticket and she couldn't remember what pawn shop she sold it to. It was probably a lie to stop me from wasting money trying to buy it back since we were still paying for the house. First time I ever ached from a loss like that and it was hard explaining to her the sentimental value I had for the game.

My Y save got corrupted when I was going to put my Pokémon in Pokebank. I lost all my shinies and legendaries that I had caught/obtained through GTS.
