Solid Rock is nice in its own right, but I keep getting surprised whenever my Grass/Water attacks don't OHKO non-sturdy Gigalith. Then I remember why and I just feel stupid.

They just get stuck with a lot of slow, "defensive" Pokemon, which doesn't really work all that well for a type that's best for offense. This applies to Ice types as well, although Ice has it worse than Rock does.

And of course, we can't forget about the best thing about Rock types: Fossilmons!

If you ask me, GF is AWARE that Rock types are boring, and that's why the fossils are all Rock type. They're trying to spice up the type with something interesting because they KNOW they're boring.

Fossils are the worst part of Rock type. Literally just slapping a type to a design that doesn't fit it half the time.
