>>34399784>>34399798This gave me an idea. Wouldn't it be nea of a future Pokemon title has cover legendaries so powerful they shaped the entire climate of the region? Just the idea that California's geological activity and general climate is actually CAUSED by this creature living there.
In one game you could have a desert town because the legendary makes the climate arid, and in its alternate version the town could be snowy as caused by the opposite legendary, or underwater, or be destroyed and not exist.
What's more, pokemon are magical creatures, so the entire climate could be altered in a way that isn't even natural. Maybe the whole region is literally shrouded in darkness, and the plants and trees are all dead. Maybe a psychic legendary's influence causes Alice and Wonderland-like oddities to spring up all over the region.
There could be a region in the middle of the ocean that is completely underwater, the Water box legendary's influence somehow causing not aquatic-life to be able to breathe there. Maybe a Flying legendary enables an entire sky-based region to exist in the clouds. A huge chunk of the map of one region could be made uninhabitable, due to the mass pollution/destruction caused by just one legend, or perhaps a Ghost legendary's influence causes strange supernatural phenomena, but only at night.
You get to play through a game in a region actively shaped and defined by one single powerful god-like entity, with the entire society and ecosystem adapted to it. It'd be neat. There's a lot of ways you could build a unique fantasy setting through this method.
