Both Chingling and Chimecho are two of my favorite
Like, top 5, team ace level faves.
They're great designs and they have unique utility. They could be better in battle but so could most Pokemon.
Really cool, unique Pokemon. Love em to death.

It's not a memory issue, it's a statement, brainlet.
Chimecho was used by no trainers ingame, had a hilariously low encounter chance in grass that was not only optional, but many people weren't aware existed.
It is an actual fact that some people never knew it existed until the anime had it.

I thought it was gen 2 for a long time, it just has the gen 2 art style and like weeboo theme to it, I was really let down when I was looking for a last gen 2 Pokemon to fill my all gen 2 team in heart gold recently, I had to settle for gengar...(didn't rly regret that)

I really wanted to have a whole team of gen 2 only and couldnt because its fucking gen gay ass 3

He got 30BST buff this gen and access to perish song, he already had some uses with Trick room and Heal pulse in the past for VGC but with the buffs he could be even more useful.

What happened to long forgotten Pokemon getting evolutions like in gen 4? That was good, it fleshed out the world and was more permanent/fun than Mega Evolutions (which they scapped anyways). Plus it improved many Pokemon's viability.

When I bought my copy of Ruby, it came with the strategy guide. It said Chimecho was on the top Mt. Pyre, so I spent a good hour finding it.

it has a small niche on doubles, it can spam cosmic power to gain an upper hand on both defense and special defense while another pokemon either helps her set up (instruct oranguru) or another pokemon let's say, a fighting one covers her weakness to dark types, once she has set up she can spam stored power and heal with rest or recover, her only weakness would be a dark-type critical hit

I remember catching a Chingling in Diamond when I was a kid, got it up to level 40 something and never understood why it couldn 't evolve. Then it evolved at level 49.
Chimeco will always be one of my favourites because it 's probably the one I trained the hardest when I was a kid.
