Rain Team Build Help

currently building a rain team for OU Doubles, though need help with the build, as I haven't done one before and smogon can eat a palkia-shaped dick

currently I have:

Pelipper with the Damp Rock and Drizzle
Tailwind
Hydro Pump/Scald
U-turn
(insert move here)

Megaswampin' (Adamant)
Earthquake
Waterfall
Ice Punch
(insert move here)

Ludicolo (Already bred, but later found out Pelipper can have Drizzle now)
Timid and Swift Swim
Giga Drain
Ice Beam
Hydro Pump
Rain Dance

Azumarill (Adamant and Huge Power; revenge Killer, also already bred)
Sitrus Berry
Aqua Jet
Belly Drum
Superpower
Play Rough

Had a good Politoed a while back but traded him away for a reason I forget

In what ways can I improve/add to this team so far? Any help is appreciated

A rain team shouldn't all be water type, stuff like thundurus abuses rain as well

one of the genies, depending on if you want hurricane or thunder
i love dry skin toxicroak with sub in rain but he might be too weak for OU. for other physical hitters you can get kingdra with z-splash and swift swim, or mega sharpedo if you want to replace swampert
a better swift swimmer than ludicolo
hydrationrest vaporeon, can be offensive or defensive
random ideas: scizor, celesteela, marowak-a for lightningrod
these are off the top of my head, but i played a lot of rain in my day and i liked them.

My favorite team in battle spot doubles has been rain for the past two years. Let me give you some advice.

Pelipper and mega Swamp are a good combo, since it allows him to use EQ without fear hurting his teammate. But add Hurricane to your Pelipper to hit grass types when Swampert cannot. Replace U-Turn with protect. Give Swampert Protect.

Drop Ludicolo and Azumarill, too many water types on the team right now. Replace Ludicolo with a Pokemon that has Lightning Rod, Raichu is a good choice since it has Fake out which is one of the best moves in the game for double battles.

Thunder / Thunderbolt / Volt Switch, Fake Out, Encore is a great combo. THe last move can be your choice. I suggest HP Ice, Nuzzle, or Electro Web even.

Get yourself a steel type Pokemon, since you're already using a Mega I think Mega Mawile and Metagross are out of the question, so that leaves Ferrothorn who is great in rain teams, especially for taking care of the enemy team's Water type Pokemon too. You will want a fighting type Pokemon to deal with enemy Ferrothorn as well, Ferrothorn can hard counter rain teams that don't have a Fighting type Pokemon. Consider using something like Hitmontop due it's Intimidate ability.

Lastly you will want something that can help you deal with Trick Room, Trick Room is a great counter to Rain teams. You'll want something that can deal with it or abuse it yourself. Dusclops can be great due to it's slow speed and bulk, it allows you to take a hit and use Trick Room again in order to reverse it. Wil-o-Wisp is also a great status ailment to carry around.

Just for synergy things. If you give Raichu Volt Switch and Hitmontop a Red Card, it allows you to cycle fake outs very easily. This puts a lot of pressure on your opponent.

tl;dr

>teach Swampert and Pelipper Protect
>Replace U-Turn with Hurricane on Pelipper
>Drop Azumarill and Ludicolo
>get a Lightning Rod Pokemon, Raichu is good.
>Get a Dusclops and Fighting type Mon (Hitmontop)

Part two.

Damp Rock is a bit much, it's overkill in BSDs and even more so in OU Doubles. Give your Pelipper either leftovers or Sitrus Berry.

for items for the above mons I suggested.

Raichu - Focus Sash
Dusclops - Eviolite
Ferrothorn - Leftovers
Hitmontop - Honestly a hard one to come up with, but going off the top of my head Lefties or even Fightnium Z might be a good choice.

Remember that your entire team doesn't have to be water type. I'd recommend a Pokemon that can tank and/or attract hard counters like electric and grass type moves, especially Pokemon with Lightning Rod and Sap Sipper or whatever it's called. An electric type would be especially useful as well, considering it can break through enemy water types trying to use your rain, lightning rod for aforementioned reasons, Thunder has perfect accuracy in the rain, stuff like that. I'd also recommend having Protect on most of your Pokemon in doubles

Only reason I'm not opting Hurricane is that 30% chance to confuse, and with Mega Swampert's Attack stat, as well as him pretty much carrying the rest of the team by sweeping the first bit would be pretty devastating.
Didn't think of Thunderus, thank you, though I've never used any of the genies before, so I'm not sure where to start, if it's not too much to ask for suggestions.
Kingdra is great, but in the past I've abused Focus Energy + Scope Lens + Sniper + Draco Meteor to sweep with guaranteed critical hits. Not entirely sure what I'd do with a physical attacking Kingdra, to be honest.
Ferrothorn is also good, gives some good coverages for setting up traps, and also taking care of the rest of the team's weaknesses. Not to mention getting rid of it's weakness to fire.
Hydration + Rest I didn't even think of, especilly with a tank such as Vaporeon or Goodra. that would work great. thank you, anon.
Unfortunately I know nothing of the new pokemon or forms yet, my knowledge is mostly in the ORAS meta; haven't played pokemon since then, only recently picked up Ultra Sun

swampert having protect is great as well, and doubles if I want to end up using hurricane, not to mention stalling to let swift swim take effect on the first turn. Though, not sure why Pelipper should have protect? unless just to make up that it's relatively frail and dies to no accuracy check thunder
