Gen wars must be hilarious from an outsider's perspective. Many people who play the games yet aren't diehard fans will tell you that the problem the series has is that the games are too damn similar. Yet it seems like everyone on /vp/ thinks the game they have nostalgia for is leagues above whichever one they enjoyed the least. Hell, you sometimes see this sentiment with third versions versus the original pair.
