I skipped the Unova sequels. Are they worth buying and playing if I already bought and played the original Unova games?

They did it well in Gen 5. Introduce all the new Pokémon in a vacuum first, and then re-introduce a fuck ton of oldies in the sequels.

Yes. They are actual sequels to the BW2 storyline, include tons of features that are unlocked when you connect with your BW save files, and work with Dream Radar if you use a 3DS.

My favorite iteration. Join avenue makes creating competitive mons so damn piss easy that I don't know why anyone qould not want to play it.

Also, Pokestar Studios. Hands down THE BEST feature not directly related to battling (even though there's battles too).

I am playing through Black 2 right now and... holy fuck, why didn't they just skip BW1 and just release this instead? The squeals are superior to the original in almost every way. Now I know what the suckers who bought SM and USM must feel like.

Because gen 5 is best experience when playing both games since they're each unique experiences imo. Can't say the same for the gen 7 game.

B2W2 did not ruin BW at all.
The story is pretty much an improvement to because BW's story was so fucking stupid and you don't even fight the Seven Sages or even know who they really are.
B2W2 fixes that by not making it so retarded, giving us Colress, a more satisfying villain, and has Zinzolin and Rood do something.

I still really think that B2W2 should be the postgame package of BW since the story is a huge closure from start to finish, and the battle facilities and the non-native Pokemon selection across the region is absolutely god-tier for that. Well, I would still hope for that especially when remake season for Gen 5 comes around.

I just don't think they'll remake both gen 5 games and if ORAS are any indication they won't put too much work into a remake either, so we're probably not getting any of the BW2 stuff, like the PWT or Pokestar Studios.
