>>34408342>>34408436Everything you said regarding competitive Pokemon ruins it for all demographics.
Turning EVs into a point system adds complexity and boredom for little kids.
Elitists will hate it for making good mons available to everyone with no effort.
People who actually actively play Pokemon competitively will hate the reduction in the variety of strategies and won't care because they only play in Showdown and other online battlers that don't deal with the whole raising Pokemon nonsense.
It is pretty much only good for lazy people. But lazy people can already inject their mons unless they are retarded, and retarded lazy people will suck at competitive anyway.
>but now you can play competitively with your b--bros!Except your "bros" probably still suck at competitive like 95% of Pokemon. There are only 50 Pokemon in OU including Megas, and half of them are legendaries. VGC is not better for variety either.
>HM/PokeTaxiThis isn't as bad, but I don't see anybody loving this, given it is such a middle road solution.
>cutscenesIf something was rendered into a cutscene, it was probably because it required animations, effects, and movements that couldn't be conveyed with the animations already built-in the game's regular conversation engine. Adding expressions and animations that will be used only once to the engine will only make things harder for devs while uglier for the player. It would be better to just add a skip button to cutscenes while leaving some npc around to comment on what happened so retarded kids who skip cutscenes and then don't know what to do get a hint.
