True, but it can work well sometimes. In Salazzle's case especially, switching out from matte black to pearl white helps her violet colors stand out better and feel more intense. And then you have ones like Guzzlord and Zygarde, who look terrible.

Oh also I love this shiny in particular.

Gotta give it to the king! It's in my top 5 favorite mons, but it looks especially cool in blue. It's the only Pokemon that I've specifically farmed by hatching, and I almost missed it. Every other egg is female and so shiny nidoran male looks very much like a female nidoran with big ears! :-)
