I really hope he just focuses on one game, and has guests show stuff like the final gym or cutscenes with the box legends, and not actually have two playthroughs with two teams.

I also hope he decides to throw a curveball and immediately do BW2 next, so he doesn't have to do all the bios for the gen 5 Pokémon again

He updated that in Platinum. He still covers the events even if he can't get them himself.

That's only problem with Victini, since that was limited.

Zorua and Zoroark just require you to have fateful encounter Pokemon. People might still have them or something.

The problem is that they have to be transferred through that custom transporter that only allows that Celebi/shiny beasts.

That's because he did Fire Red for gen 1 coverage and Crystal as gen 2 coverage and started that when Hg/Ss hit the west. He typically puts about 4 games between Pokemon which is a lot of delays when he 100%'s games and takes months between LP's.

Striaton Gym is pretty fucking hard without the monkey, and there's not much else available at that point in the game. I think he'll either use it for the gym and then drop it, or make it a permanent team member for a laugh. Or maybe he'll go full madman and do it without the monkey, who knows?

It's such a small detail but I love shit like this. It means they cared enough to think of that. Meanwhile in USM every other action that isn't in a cutscene is completely blacked out with only a text box on bottom.

N uses fast text speed, unless you have set it to fast.

Then he uses a hidden text speed that's even faster.

There are also some unused lines of dialogue, like how Cheren commenting on you not losing HP at all in first battle (not possible since none of the starting moves miss and they will start with an offensive move), or Cedric changing his line to reflect that you haven't seen Klink (which is impossible without cheating as N uses one).

Also the somewhat known thing that you can catch the box legendary at Dragonspira Tower if you fill every box and party before N' Castle. Nobody has put a video of this, though.

Yeah I know. I was pointing out that N actually says something different if you bother talking to him before fighting the dragon.

This situation is prevented in later games as you get an extra box during the legendary climax (it appears in PC only after actually catching it though, so no getting around that one).

his earlier ones (well, really, his earlier videos in general) aren't quite as stupidly thorough as his others, but they're still fun to watch, even if his recording equipment is older.

As for recommendations for his Pokemon LPs, Emerald is probably when things get into the REAL thorough shit, but the first 2 gens are still relatively informative.
