Qwilfish is an alternate swift swimmer to Mega Swampert and Kingdra to beat conventional rain team checks. Swampert has no item and no boosting move, and Kingdra typically runs specs and is basically a one moveslot mon. Qwilfish's "niche" is swords dance, I'd rather Kabutops honestly.

It can kill Ferrothorn, a rain counter, with Explosion, as well as Toxapex, since T-Spikes hurt Rain A LOT.

It's the typing, yeah. Allows it to absorb the Toxic Spikes that can mess up other rain sweepers/cleaners and handle Toxapex.

C+ is not king tier and I wouldn't see it going any higher than B-. Anyone could nominate something if they play a few decent games with it. A nomination doesn't mean much until it's acted upon.

I thought that we were talking about without rain.
With rain, standard koko beats celepex but I don't think anything on rain beats ferro also, hence qwilfish
