RS was my favorite. GSC is pretty great too, but goddamn, I just love my bitch Ruby. Sapphire is pretty fun too. Actually, just the fact that they swapped the roles is fantastic in and of itself.I reread GSC/RS sometimes, but FUCK emerald. I wouldn't give a damn if Emerald didn't have such an awful fucking design.

Manga is awesome but felt it got slightly boring starting from Yellow chapter.

Red fighting against The Elite Four, Legendary Birds, Mewtwo, Blue, Green plus numerous crazy ass pokemon was 10x better than anything the anime/origins ever did.
