Enemies will indeed treat the Zoroark as though it were whatever it was pretending to be though. They don't see through the illusion.

That's the problem you fucking idiot. A half-competent AI would be programmed to stop using the move after the first failure, if there's no other reason for it to fail.

Waste of time. Why would I ever spend hours upon hours grinding up mons to 100 when I can beat Necrozma by abusing Gamefreak’s shitty AI? Or fuck, even just Toxic stalling it because it’s only one mon. Am I suppose to suicide my entire team on it blindly attacking or something?

I'm not them, but I did it in my mono Ice run.
I used the single Focus Sash you're given on a Froslass to paralyze it with Thunder Wave, and then I used Icy Wind to lower its speed even more.
I think was able to kill it with two 100% accuracy Blizzards from Ninetales-A and Jynx and one Ice Shard.
It's not hard to beat it without cheesing. It just takes some thought.
