Pokémon Amie/Refresh is bad content.

It feels like putting a coin (puff/bean) into an animatronic (the Pokémon) just to watch it play the same tired animation its done a hundred times before.

I'm honestly interested in hearing how you would improve it. Anyone else opinion is also welcome. I'm not being the stupid guy who says "lol do I better then", I'm genuinely curious, because I don't see a good way to make it feel more alive.

Bring back Pokemon Memories from XY/ORAS and have them impact your Pokemon's disposition which will also alter their actions in Amie/Refresh, add toys to use to play with them, have Natures or characteristics also influence them, let you have multiple Pokemon out at once and see them interact with eachother

I wouldn't want to continue with the formula.

With the following Pokémon, there was a lot of different flavor text depending on variables like your location, which Pokémon you had out and the condition of it, and so forth. You just need some imagination to picture the described scenario in your head and a lot more can happen than with the Amie system.

To make the Amie satisfactory would require far more animation work than feasibly possible because every Pokémon would need different animations for all the different things they can do with flavor text, like staring at sunsets, rolling rocks around, being cold, being alert and on guard, having found items and everything else.

I don’t dislike the way Refresh is now, but I wouldn’t mind seeing it expanded into something more like Nintendogs. Give them some toys to play with, teach them tricks, etc. It could even be incorporated into a new way of doing contests.

There was incredibly little of it and very little varied based on the Pokemon itself. Considering all the work they did for XY alone for Amie they definitely have the manpower for the sorts of things you mentioned, not to mention the studio all the Pokemon models and animations were outsourced to being upsized recently, it's just a matter of them thinking to do it.

I agree, but I also like Amie and I don't think that it's a useless feature. Some animations were too good that I ended up liking the pokémon doing it and the animation itself. It was one of the reasons I enjoyed using Gengar so much.
