Was just training my pichu in platinum and I found this little beauty. Luckily I still had my masterball so this little lass couldnt teleport out of my life like all other women and break my heart. What should I name this little lady?

Isn't it just dawns name in Japanese? I'm playing as her because i always choose the boy. I'm guessing it means light or something because in my jap heart gold in the ruins of alph where it says light to indicate to use flash it says "hikari" in unown letters. Idk I am kind of a weeb tho sue me.

I’ve got two full odds in the US play through (so far) and I’m pretty psyched about it. I was running around digletts cave looking for a larvitar for my team and boom! Shiny diglett. Never used one before but I love that blue nosed mother fucker. Then later I Island scanned for a marshtomp because I had been completely ignoring island scan this game and I was running around brooklet Hill and found a blue psyduck (which worked out because I didn’t have a water type on my team). Needless to say my team is a little different than I had planned

Hikari is actually a really "common" name, I guess. It's a "mary sue" name. Same as Sakura or Yuki, or whatever.

I'm also kind of aggressive towards "asian" names, because, I actually enjoy them, but to avoid being weebish or cringe I compulsively avoid them, and-

It doesn't matter. Name your characters whatever you want. I'm on the internet, so I talk shit. I'd never say shit like this to you irl, so enjoy what you want.

I know about shinies changing team plans. I had just evolved a Gardevoir to use on my team and grew kind of attached to it when I got this abra. But how could I not use it? I love shiny golduck ive always wanted one of those.

Just grinded her up a bit and checked her ivs with a calc. She's neutral natured which isnt bad but has a 1 iv in sp attack. I patched it up with some gastly grinding in the spooky mansion. Appreciate all the name suggestions I really do. Still might change her name to sabrina tho not sure.

Recently found a shiny Swanna in the ultra wormhole. Just outta the blue.

I'm not against hacking really. I just don't do it because it devalues them. Admittedly they don't have much value regardless. Idk its supposed to be rare and special. You might just be frustrated that youve never gotten a legit shiny, seen those sparkles and felt that rush. But I guess just opening up the program and absent mindedly punching keys to program a perfect mon between fistfuls of Doritos is satisfying to.
