Sometimes inspiration and influences may sound good, but implemeted poorly.
There's nothing wrong with having just a simple region. It doesn't have to be based on New York or Paris or Hawaii.
For Pokemon, I want to see more 'monster' like Pokemon. Like Pokemon less based on animals, and rather be designed with being a monster.
Evil Team. I dunno. I've never been a fan of Evil Teams. Maybe The Evil Team can be mind controlled by the Box Legend, and the Box Legend is the Final Boss.
I want a rival. A REAL rival. A mix between Serena and Barry would seem nice.
I just want an emphasis on exploring and collecting Pokemon. An expansive region that hosts all the Pokemon. Pokemon would appear on specific days, in different areas.
Also if the new games had to have a gimmick (Megas, Z-Moves) I would want them to have a hold item that would activate and give the Pokemon boosted max stat in battle. Maybe like a Power Gem would max the Attack Stat if the player attacks the opponents a number of times, or the Armor Gem would activate when the Pokemon gets hit with a physical attack a number of times, and would max out Defense. Could be interesting to play with
