I thought it was too - that is until I had him as my lead with false swipe to catch pokemon with. Saw a skarmory out in the wild and he <Bitched Out> when I was almost able to catch it.

That's the problem. Emergency Exit is only situationally good. I imagine OP was hoping for something more like Moxie or Tough Claws, something that's useful in most situations rather than just "certain" situations.

He doesn't have the bulk to take a hit, doesn't have the speed to deal a hit, doesn't have a good movepool, is forced to switch out upon taking a hit.

Whoever created the EE ability can burn in hell, but Golisopod is more than usable in game. Great stats, leech life and nice other moves make it kind of fun

Fuck off, it's a pretty good typing and is pracitcally mega scizor defensive stats. You can easily take a lot of hits without procing EE, and if they are weak to bug, you can just immediately leech life off the damage. Otherwise just use priority.

EE isn't that bad in game because the AI isn't smart enough to exploit it against you

Its plenty bulky, and it hits pretty hard. It doesn't need speed because it learns like 3 priority moves, two of which have STAB. Did you have a shitty nature? I had an adamant one and it was MVP during my play through. I even used emergency exit to get a free switch and damage on tough enemies sometimes. This was all in game of course.

jutst use a priority move when you anticipate a hit that puts you below half. he has enough of those and then you get a free switch which is nice if you play set

sure it's a bad ability 99% of the time, but it's still completely usable

Don't listen to them, it's very good in-game. I used it on my Sun team, playing on Set and no Exp. Share, and it was one of the best on my party.

If you get one with Aqua Jet it is even better. But even without it, it still has First Impression and Sucker Punch for priority, Leech Life for STAB and recovery, and Liquidation for secondary STAB. Also Poison Jab if you want coverage, I guess.

desu in my playthrough first impression + emergency exit were pretty neat too

I've done playthroughs with Slaking, Archeops, and Golisopod many times and I've never had a problem with any of them. Bad abilities don't matter if you one shot everything in front of you.

You literally couldn't. Even if you grinded to level 100 you'd still get stuck at any trainer with more than two Pokemon probably as early as the 40s, and it would get worse with a complete wall happening at the E4 at the absolute LATEST. Depending on game Rival battles, gym leaders or totems would fuck you over too.

yes I'm aware a majority of route trainers have one pokemon
