Can someone redpill me on why 4th gen is so liked? As someone who has liked 3rd gen most of my life I never truly understood why people liked Sinnoh so much.

You have to keep in mind that this was around the time DS/Wii created a surge in new gamers and interest in the Pokemon series. Also, many who grew out of Pokemon in middle/high school were now entering college so it was cool to like Pokemon again.
