Alchemists pretty much believe the merging of the three essentials creates the Philosopher's stone which has the power of god, which is the magnum opus of Alchemy.
Necrozma is supposed to represent 'body', which can seal both Spirit and Soul, Moon and Sun, which are represented by Lunala and Solgaleo. Necrozma takes creative liberty from the cubic stone, which represents the body in alchemy.
So Ultra Necrozma is basically Pokemon's version of the Philosopher's Stone. The chinese riddler even pretty much suggested this when he represented Necrozma as a stone bust of Aristotle on his chart. A stone bust of a philosopher. The Philosopher's Stone.
