I'd prefer not, but I'd be okay if they replaced the awkwardly-hovering flying Pokemon and fixed stupid scaling,but otherwise left the rest of the models as is.

It doesn't matter if its OK or not, they WILL use them, just as they use stadium models up until battle revolution, just with better shader, extra/different animations. That's why they are so detailed even when you can't see shit on the 3ds.

Absolutely not -- the vast majority of the models look bloated and awful.

I realize we'll not see any fixes, but at the very least (and this one's easy) can we add a bit of colour back into the models? This change alone makes the Pokémon look significantly better

Although, I think some could do with a just a little more saturation; there's a lotta Pokemon that kinda looked "washed out", ya know?

When people use the term "models" they're referring to every intricacy behind the shift using 3D graphics as a single entity. Complaining about the textures and shading is complaining about the models.

GO already uses the 3DS models with a different shader and they look great. GF definitely future-proofed these for further games.

They could probably use some updated textures, though. The existing ones look pretty flat and have hard lines detailing features, which clashes a bit with a smooth shader. They don't need to go full bumpmap fur detail like Pokken did, just a bit of a style upgrade to fit an HD style.

I'll never understand how people think this looks good. The cartoon shader needs the outline to look good. It's all stuff designed for the small screen.

The models are fine, but if you want no outlines then you need a smoother shading style, like Pokemon GO does.

The models are fine. Just change the shaders and make the textures higher-res. I've ported these models to Unreal, which really showed me how much of a difference the lighting makes in how the models look.

Of course. Apparently the model for Primarina is something like 13k tris. All that need to be changed are the textures and they'll be perfect. The models don't have any problems, it's the fact that the 3DS can't render them properly.
