URS even points out how trial sites are that special because it's filled with a lot of Necrozma's light, resulting into totem pokemon as well. Almost everything that makes Alola special (berries growning without effort, special forms for pokemon from other parts of the world, totems, Z crystals, sparkling stones...) was caused by the light/Z Power that Necrozma emited time ago. At the end Alola is special just because it's lucky enough to have a lot of wormholes that allowed Z power to fill the region

About the UBs, it's not confirmed but their auras is similar to totem's and Nihilego's concept art even says how that rainbow colors on Lusamine-Nihilego was just a reaction on Nihilego's body caused by Lusamine's Z crystals. The most plausible explanation is that UBs are pokemon mutated further beyond by Necrozma's light, causing that even their abilities is permanently linked to Z power auras
