I've seen a ton of threads about wanting an Australian region, but what about the Mediterranean? It's ripe with inspiration with Greek mythology etc.

Pic related, preddy gud starters for a Greek themed region I found on Instagram. IG honestly has a pretty good fakemon community if you can tolerate the normie memes

I like the fighting/flying/rock combo for the dual typings, giving them a strength against the one strong to them. I'd love the grass one to be fast/physical to make use of it's rock typing

The stats are on the ig page isc0.er0s along with other mons, two regional bugs and the first two stages of the regional bird so far.
The grass starter has high attack and defense but 60 speed. Fire starter is a fast mixed attacker. Water starter is a semi fast special attacker

Another good fakemon region on ig is called the Ronto region, the page is rontoregion. I think it's based on North America, kinda northwest looking. It's more fleshed out than Olimbos so far, I'm a big fan of both

Those greek starters are some of the best fan made starters I've seen. Hippocampus first and second are a little bit it-just-gets-bigger, but on the whole fantastic, would have a hard time choosing.

Water starter definitely just gets bigger, but I think the Fire gryphon is quite nice. Quadrupedal and just simplistic enough while still looking fierce. Just my two cents though

Yeah the giant tree goat thing is a bit strange, mostly the huge front hooves and small back legs. I really like the final fire starter and the water starter is cool but kinda off stylistically. The regional bugs and bird are great though. I'm pretty sure the creator is sticking to the gen 1 formula because there's a line that mimics the nido line's male/female counterpart shtick as well as a two stage early bird, two stage early poison type, and two stage early ground type (like spearow, ekans, sandshrew). I like almost everything that has been revealed so far
