Most Pokemon really were meant for the 2D style. So many of them got raped in the transition to 3D.

I completely understand why they had to evolve the style to 3D, but I do miss the 2D days. Everything feels so crisp and stylish when I go back and play gen 3 or 4, and it feels sterile in comparison when I come back to gen 6 and 7.

On the plus side, pretty much all Gen 7 mons were made with 3D in mind, so they aren't as jaring as everyone else before them.

yea, the loop is shit but my point is that sprites would look so much nicer IMO. It'd also mean no more fucking 10 FPS in best format.

3D would be good on a console that can actually run it, and if they put a little more effort into it other than just putting a plain texture over a simple model. They look like LD plastic figures now.

I honestly like the models or at least most of them. I just hate the fact that the hardware struggles to run it. I don't understand how it's even a thing, ORAS and XY never had any frame rate issues and now suddenly with SM and USUM it wants to shit itself.
