NOW this is frustration, Seafoam Island and pretty much the 75% of Johto caves are extremely frustrating, Whirlpool Islands, Dark Cave, Mt. Mortar, absolute unpleasing experience and the oppressive cave theme doesn't help. Mt. Mortat got even more cancerous in HGSS, Ice Path will always be pleasing due to the theme.

Also fuck Sabrina's gym.

Quicksand cave from pokemon myster dungeon explorers.
Let me break this down for you as to why this dungeon, while not hard, it is the most frustrating experience I have ever had in a Pokemon game
>PMD slightly reduces base accuracy
>30% chance of a sandstorm every time you arrive on a floor. but both hippopotas and tyrantar are in the dungeon and whenever on of them spawns the sandstorm starts up agian
>sandslash spawn on every floor and are the most common enemy
>all the sandslash have sand veil
>all of the sandslash know:sand attack, crush claw, sword dance and fury Swipes
>this is the first dungeon with monster houses
>you are almost guaranteed to have at least one spawn every play through
>whenever you enter a monster house 3-6 sandslash spawn
>they begin sword dancing and sand attacking
>you can't leave the monster room because you partner will stay and try to fight the sandslash

You have clearly never tried getting a legit Tight Belt in PMD Explorers

>only spawns on floors 90-98 of the hardest dungeon in the game
>dungeon sets you to level 1, no party, no items, no money, final destination
>only in shops
>shop has a low% chance of spawning on any floor but 95, where it's 50%
>can still not spawn in said shops
>takes about an hour and a half to get to this point if you're using the best pokemon in the game for the job
>have to steal it
>have to also hope you find a pure seed before the floor
>have to get through the rest of the dungeon or escape orb out afterwards

He isn't scary, but every one of his Pokemon has Double Team and he'll lead with the Sandstorm setters with Sand Veil. You will be missing moves and will have to deal with the continuous Sandstorm chipping, which also has a fairly slow animation in that game. He also tells you to challenge him as soon as you have six Pokemon, which at that point are all level 30 or below, meaning that if you do what he says and go to challenge him then even when you do manage to land a hit, you'll be doing tiny amounts of damage. Your Pokemon won't be purified either so you have to deal with the occasional Hyper Mode wasting a turn and a lack of moves if you haven't started unlocking them. Most of them also have a way to stall you out with the Sandstorm chip damage - two have Dig, Nosepass can paralyze then flinch with Rock Slide and Sunflora has that Ingrain/Mega Drain combo which if it's on multiple layers of Double Team is a right bitch to kill.

It's amazing how literally everything about the place is broken or useless in some form. It's actually impressively bad.

>Sophocles constantly offers you facilities like "bounce house *" when you're rank 50+, and gives a pitiful Pearl if you say no
>Have to rely on RNG just to get decent facilities, of which there's 1, and that's only because it just so happens to pay out with a cap the first play

It's really not considering that you need a full party to even face him and his Pokemon are either unevolved or have non-existant offenses. It's just really obnoxious since you'l only have like 2 Pokemon at the very most that have evasion ignoring moves.

I hate strenght puzzles, they're braindead easy but still slow as fuck due to how they work.
I absolutely hate having to use strenght again if I go into another map too, at least this world didn't have random encounters, the main reason why I hate caves, since every tile is like tall grass.

In Pokemon Colosseum, NPCs send out their non-shadow Pokemon in a completely random order. Sometimes you'll get unlucky and have to deal with two Sand Veil Pokemon on the first turn. Or worse, the Azumarril will set up Light Screen on turn 1 and Sunflora will sit around Helping Handing its Return after a few turns of Double Team.
